Haria - valley of 1000 palm trees
Haria - village and palm trees

Haria is a beautiful small village in the northern part of Lanzarote. When yo drive on the mountain road to Haria you will have a lovely overview to the village and the thousand palm trees. Haria is called "village of thousand palm trees".

The small sleepy village is situated in a valley and has nothing special but every saturday morning there is a market on the central village place where you may find local products as home made marmalade, special oils from plants and cactus, decoration and jewelry and other interest offers. Haria offers some local food restaurants and some small bars.

The road from Haria leads to he sightseeing point "Mirador del Rio" which is the northern place high up on the mountains from where you have a splended view to the island of "La Graciosa". Here from the small restaurant on 480 m above sea level you will have fantastic views to all the little rocky islands.

Also it is not far away from the sighseeing place "Jameos del Agua" built by César Manrique.

Parque Eolico

Haria main road
The curvy mountain road through the northern countryside of Lanzarote is very interesting and meets the "Parque Eólico" which is one of the wind power plants of Lanzarote. Here you can see the modern huge wind power engines, which are new built.
